Niescja Turner '90 has written a children's planetarium show called 'Kids in Space: Exploring the Solar System.' And she says 'I was never an artsy type at LSMSA -- I was and still am a scientist.' The show is targeted for 6 - 10 year olds, and opens 2 pm on Sept. 25th, 1999 at the Fiske Planetarium on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. It will likely remain at Fiske for several years. Admission is $4 for adults, and $3 for children and senior citizens. Interested planetaria may purchase a copy at cost.

William Martin '91 is an operatic performer. He sings with The Morningside Presbyterian church choir there in Atlanta located at 1411 North Morningside Drive NE with services every Sunday morning at 11am and the church office number, (404)876-7396.

*****Louisiana

Gerard C. Faucheux, Sr. '85 plays guitar and sings Sunday mornings at 9:30 for St. Lucy Catholic Church Choir in the big town of Hodge, Louisiana (~30 miles south of Ruston on Hwy 167).

LSMSA Senior Theatre Rep is performing _12 Angry Jurors_ if rumors are true. More info as it comes. Natchitoches, La.

John Voorhees '86 plays guitar with his vocals at Coffee Rani, Friday nights from 6:30-8:30pm in Hammond, La. Has 2 cds already on the market. Well here's a folksinger finally entering the digital re-volution! If you've got a sound card and an MP3 player (and the players are free online!) you can download and listen to CD quality tracks from his most recent CD, The Swing at http://www.mp3.com/johnvoorhees. There's even a track from a benefit he did for the Humane Society. You can expect him to make a CD available through MP3.com this summer, and he should soon be able to accept online ordering at _HIS_ site,http://listen.to/johnvoorhees. . Stacy LeBlanc Carpenter '92 plays percussion Sundays 5:15pm, at St. Mary's Cathedral for the Life Teen service, 2107 Capitol Avenue, Cheyenne, Wy.

Carla Speed-McNeil '86 Carla, currently residing in the Annapolis, Maryland area, has some pretty cool comics that she has created. To the right is a cover for the current issue of her comic _Finder_. Check them out here.


Dave Williams '86 and his former classmate Steve Turner recorded a 4-track vinyl record while they were roomates at LSMSA. Since then, Dave has picked up his music skills and in the past three years has recorded two more 4-track, "humble" albums called _Lonesome Dave/ Damn the Luck_ (1995), and a second collection tentatively called _Lonesome Dave/ Goodbye, Sugarpie_ (1998). Dave is currently teaching English in Korea for a year, but would love to send copies to any of his friends who are interested in hearing his new stuff! Email him - lonesumdav@hotmail.com
