Crawfish Boil

What: LSMSA Southern California Crawfish Boil
When: Saturday, March 17th, starting around noon
Where: Andre's apartment, 64 North Mar Vista Ave., Pasadena, CA (see map below)

I'd appreciate a note by the end of the week if you are planning to attend (and how many come in your party), so I can place a Crawfish order (send mail andre@acm.org). If you can't be sure this early, that's fine, give me your best guess now and do come on Saturday if you have time; I just want to get a ballpark estimate now.

I'll have basic crawfish, maybe some veggies, and Dr. Pepper. Feel free to bring other items (other beverages, chips, alternate food) if you like. (We figured out where the local fedex office is last year, so, hopefully, the crawfish arrival will go more smoothly this time.)

Students, especially, should just come and mouch off the older alums (don't feel obligated to contributed food or money, just show up and tell us what LSMSA was like when you were there).

Noon is when we plan to get start the fire going. That probably means we'll eat around 2pm.

85/86ers:
I'm especially expecting you '85er and '86ers to show up in force. We have Jackie [Maddux] Atkins coming down for Redwood City, and Rodney Durr flying in from Washington D.C., so I'm hoping those of you in L.A., and Irvine, and Torrance will definitely be able to join us (and introduce those new spouses we've been hearing about).

Arrive:
I'm in Apartment 231. Home phone is 626 568 3446. Cell is 626 230 0854 (new number from last year). To get into the interior of the aprtment, you should be able to ring an intercom which will phone me, but you may need the phone numbers in case there are any problems with that.

Parking:
There is some visitor parking space (first come, first served) in the middle of my apartment building. Otherwise, there is street parking in the surrounding neighboorhood.

Direction:
I assume most of you can find your way around better than I can. If I210 (101, 134) make sense for you, exit Hill from I210. That puts you on the map referenced above. You can take Union (one way) or Colorado west to N Mar Vista. I'm in the block between Colorado and Union.

If you need any other directions, let me know.
