Gordon Marler <gordon.marler@attws.com> is currently engaged and will be married on June 12th, 1999 to Kim Roth. They'll be married in New Jersey, and will live in Redmond, Washington, where he's been for the past 3 years. (2/21/99)


Class of 1986

Keith Nicewarner <keith.nicewarner@sri.com> recently married, changed jobs, and has moved to sunny California. He and his wife Dawn live in Cupertino, between San Francisco and San Jose. He left Lockheed-Martin for Stanford Research Institute, International, where he gets paid to play with robots! (4/5/99)

James Taylor <jtaylo@lsumc.edu> is currently enrolled in Medical School (finally). He celebrated his 5th anniversary in December 1998 - children pending. He was awarded the MT Dept. Leadership Award, and was LSSMT Student of the Year (1995). He was elected ASCLS National Student Chairman (1995-96), has been a volunteer counselor/staff at MDA Camp Sunshine (Jerry's Kids) Member for 10 years and was in the LSU Marching Band (1988-1990,1992). John Voorhees <griffon@earthling.net> is back in Louisiana, working as a computer programmer in Baton Rouge, and enjoying the promotional powers of the internet. John has been writing songs for guitar and voice for almost 10 years now, and has 2 CD's of original music for sale. Class of 1987

Having just recently moved to Atlanta, Shannon Prest Cole <shannon.cole@mindpring.com> and Dixon Cole ('89) are still trying to settle into life in the "big" city. They have no children yet, but 2 cats and a dog. Dixon is working at MindSpring and loving every second of it. Shannon is currently at Lockheed Martin in Marietta. She is considering a major career change to secondary education focusing in social science and math (of all combinations) with a specialty in gifted education. (3/18/99)

Tripp Holman <trippholman@hotmail.com> is currently delivering newspapers. Last year, he was a field assistant on a gorilla study in Central African Republic. (4/29/99)

After graduating from LSU in 1992, Chad Rains <chad.nyc@worldnet.att.net> IMMEDIATELY moved away. He has been in New York for the last seven years. He is an Associate at a very successful lighting design firm. They do a lot of high end retail work, mostly, but also hotels, restaurants, offices, everything. Among their major clients- Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Dior, Armani, Louis Vuitton and numerous others. Frankly, he's sick of it and looking for another job. Some good leads, so far... He owns a seven month old Labrador Retriever, Lucy (Yes, it is a lot of work in New York, but it's rewarding and she's happy, too). He just got out of a relationship with an actor (one and half years). He has been feeling nostalgic, lately. If anyone who remembers him wants to get in touch, he would love to hear from you. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Trish (Larsen) Scalia moved to Washington, DC where she was an intern in the Bush White House and then a public relations specialist for Catholic schools. As spokesperson for the Catholic Campaign for America, she traveled to Cairo in 1994 for the International Conference on Population and Development. Since then, though, she's kept close to home and her three children - Nino (age 3), Megan (22 mos.) and Jack (4 mos.). (2/22/99)


Class of 1988

The day after graduating from LSU in 1992 with a degree in marketing, Robert E. Lee <robertl@flash.net> moved to Austin, TX. He worked as a software consultant for several years. Due to the type of work, He has been lucky enough to travel to virtually every corner of the US. He is currently working at the national office of Whole Foods Market, Inc. as a systems analyst. He was just accepted to the MBA program at the University of Georgia and will move to Athens this June to start classes. He graduates May of next year. (3/2/99)


Class of 1989

After graduating from LSMSA, Shellie "Landis Oglesby" Cordon <sercor1@aol.com> went to LSU for 5 years of undergrad in Animal Science/Dairy Science and got accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She got married in her second year of vet school to undergrad sweetheart, Sergio Danilo Cordon Gonzalez of Guatemala, Central America. He graduated from Veterinary School in May, 1998. She worked as a relief veterinarian in Jackson, MS for 2 small animal exclusive private veterinary practices. Sergio graduated with his second Bachelor's degree in December of 1998, got a job with C. H. Robinson Company, the nation's largest produce brokerage and distributor, and moved them to Texas. They are currently residing 20 miles southwest of Houston and she is undergoing the state licensing process in order to practice veterinary medicine in yet another state. They don't have any children yet, but they're not opposed to the idea... Every once in a while, she gets out her artwork from her LSMSA days, and is amazed that her hands were able to create such! She has trouble drawing a stick figure these days! It was a wonderful time, a creative, mind-expanding, mind-exploding time! She can't wait for the reunion. After finally getting his degree from the Univ. of Colorado in 94, Trent Dawson <trentdawson@angelfire.com> headed off to New York to put his BFA in acting to work. After working in regional theatres across the country for a few years and in small spaces in the East Village, he ended up on Broadway last year and then briefly on a soap. (5/15/99)


Class of 1990

While as an undergraduate psychology major at LSU-Shreveport, Ryan Crawford <RyanLC25@aol.com> was involved in many different projects and jobs. He was a volunteer HIV test counselor with the Philadelphia Center in Shreveport for approximately 4 years. For 5 1/2 years he worked a unit secretary (full-time) at LSU Medical Center in the ER and SICU. As an undergraduate he worked as the student manager in the Psychology Department's Testing and Evaluation Clinic. In addition to his student position he was involved in a research project assessing attitudes toward sexual orientation. This gave him the opportunity to be the second author on an article to be published in the Journal of Homosexuality (in press). In the spring of 1998 he was able to present the research to the Louisiana Academy of Science at their annual convention. The last three semesters at LSUS he served at the assistant coach for the debate team. He is currently living in Houston and loving it! At this time his position is Project Coordinator for the Substance Abuse Research Center in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center. The study he is currently on is a smoking cessation treatment program for women with possible risk factors related to heart disease. He plans to begin graduate school in the fall of 2000 in either clinical psychology or forensic psychology. (4/16/99)

Tom Kim <tkim@nbg.com> graduated from Emory University in May 1994 with a B.A. in philosophy and psychology. He is currently working at National Business Group as a network engineer. (3/10/99)

Tara Mock <tmock@tmcpop.tmc.tulane.edu> completed her undergraduate studies in History at LSU where she developed an intense interest in the culture of African peoples. She then traveled to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and the village of Botlokwa, South Africa to work as a census taker. During graduate school she returned to Africa, this time to the Gambia, to work in the Ministry of Justice. After completing graduate studies at LSU she fled to New York City. She worked briefly in the securities business then moved to higher education (Medgar Evers College) where she worked as the executive assistant to the Provost. She loved living in New York but life's plan was not that she should remain there. Her boyfriend, Joe, proposed last summer and she subsequently returned to New Orleans. She currently works at Tulane University School of Medicine as the Project Manager for The Tulane Ambulatory Healthcare Curriculum. She will begin doctoral study in Anthropology at Tulane in the Fall. (2/27/99)

Pennie Neveu <pen1@cornell.edu> is completing the MBA program at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University this spring (May 1999). Currently, she's spending the final semester of the program on exchange with the Melbourne Business School in Australia. She has not seen any kangaroos, well, except in the supermarket.... (3/1/99)

After graduation, Julie Colley Weeks <julie_ann_weeks@law.wfu.edu> attended Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, GA where she received a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. After that she stayed in Atlanta to attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is still in school at Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, NC--home of RJR and Nascar!!! She has been married for a year now to the wonderful man she began dating her sophomore year at Agnes Scott; he will be graduating from Medical University of South Carolina in May and will be beginning his Urology residency at Georgetown University so she guesses she will be transferring law schools at the end of this year! Only two more years to go and she hopes to be gainfully employed! (3/22/99)


Class of 1991

Audra R. Bergman <abergman@uno.edu> works with the University of New Orleans to develop international business programs. She travels to the Caribbean (mainly Jamaica & Trinidad) to identify needs, coordinate and market courses and seminars, and meet with corporations about in-house training and other programs. She is planning to grow her business (Global Resources and Executive Education Network, LLC, a.k.a. GREEN) to include other universities, instructors, and countries. (2/17/99)

After graduating with 2 degrees in 1995, Yvette Smith <ysmith@norad.sbgnet.com> began her career in radio. She worked as a morning show co-host (DJ) for 3 years in Houma, LA. She left there to try something different and is now doing promotions for 2 New Orleans radio stations. She also does DJ work on B-97 FM in New Orleans. In her spare time (which isn't much) she does community theater and an occasional TV commercial here in the city. (3/9/99)


Class of 1992

After graduating from Harvard in 1996, Robert Tsai <rtsai@cyberdude.com> went to work at Oracle in Redwood Shores, CA, developing Oracle Parallel Server. He left Oracle in 1998 to go to Cornell to get his graduate degree. He'll be headed back to the Bay Area in June 1999, this time to do development on internet caching appliances at Network Appliance. Joshua Waggener <waggener@gte.net> and wife Jessica Furr Waggener are currently living in Durham, NC. They both teach at Cresset Christian Academy, where he is the director of Upper School Music and she is an Upper School Mathematics teacher and curriculum consultant. (3/10/99)


Class of 1993

Margaret Balfour <margaret.balfour@uc.edu> is a second-year MD/PhD student at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. After a grueling year and a half of medical school, she recently started her thesis work in the Neuroscience Graduate Program. She is working on the role of genetic polymorphisms in the mu opioid receptor in heroin addiction. And as always, she has several web projects for the university going on the side. (3/22/99)

Kullada Pichakron <kpichakr@bu.edu> is currently a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force (Inactive Reserves). She is in her third year of medical school, only one more to go! Her plans are to go into general surgery. (2/25/99)

Joshua Tickell <tickell@veggievan.org> graduated from New College in Sarasota, FL where he studied agriculture, economics, and alternative technology. Upon graduating, he and his wife, Kaia, drove a van powered by vegetable oil across the United States. Since then, they co-authored a book about making fuel from vegetable oil and started a consulting business. For more information on my past and current projects, check out The Veggie Van Website. Class of 1994

Robin McMullan has finally graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology and is using it (NOT!) in her job as a receptionist in a urologist's office until she can afford to go to grad school. (5/5/99)

Alex Tsai <atsai@post.harvard.edu> graduated with Honors in Economics from Harvard University in 1998. He then took a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Fellowship to the University of Toronto, where he was a Junior Fellow of Massey College and earned his M.A. in Economics. He is currently working at the Rockefeller Foundation in New York City and in August of 1999 will begin a six-year M.D./Ph.D. Dual Degree Program in Medicine and Health Service Research at Case Western Reserve University. Angela White <awhite@godzilla.tamu.edu> is still single and living it up at Texas A&M! She is working towards a Master's degree in Management Information Systems with an expected graduation date of May 2000. Eventually she plans to design Decision Support Systems for medical professionals and large hospitals. After graduation she plans to reside in Texas. (3/5/99)

Jonathan Young <salvarose@aol.com> graduated from Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education and a minor in Special Journalism/Web Design. He is currently serving as a bi-vocational youth minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bentley, LA. (4/26/99)


Class of 1995

David Bedell <dbedell@nichimen.com> is serving three years in California state prison for (allegedly!) starting bread riots in downtown Santa Monica. (4/19/99)

Richard Easterling <dicker@hotmail.com> is finishing up a German major and two minors: one in History, the other in Religious Studies at LSU. He will soon be attending Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in Wisconsin. (2/26/99)

Jennifer Herron <jherron@ocean.otr.usm.edu> is currently finishing her senior year at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She will be receiving a BS in Mathematics, as well as an Air Force Commission on May 14. She has been assigned to Space and Missiles, as her AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code). On June 5, she will marry Woodrow W. Gammel, III. Shortly thereafter, they will move to Vandenberg AFB, located in California. (3/18/99)

Tiffany Miller <cajunladi@hotmail.com> will be attending Texas Chiropractic College in fall '99. (3/10/99)

Scott Miltenberger <smiltenberger@mail.colgate.edu>, after testing the academic waters, has decided to enroll in the Ph. D. program in American History at the University of California, Davis. Scott received the Reed-Smith Graduate Fellowship on the basis of his scholarly merit and promise. He promises that more details will follow, especially regarding his plans for the summer. (3/30/99)

Carrie Oldham <carrie_oldham@hotmail.com> graduated from Drake University in December '98 with a BS in psychology/sociology, where she did extensive behavioral research with autistic children. Currently, she is working at Boys Town, USA in Omaha, Nebraska--doing behavior modification therapy and teaching small groups of at-risk youth from across the US. Plans to begin a PhD clinical psych degree (applied behavior analysis or counseling--she can't decide!) are well in the works for next fall. (4/26/99)

After deciding that graduation was for quitters, Mary Ellen Slater <mslayte@lsu.edu> decided to drop a few classes that she had perfectly fine grades in order to prolong her college career. Instead of preparing for law school in the fall, she will camp out in the mountains in Roswell, New Mexico all summer and carefully watch Area 51 for signs of...well, you know. (4/7/99)

Jeannine Trahan <jtraha4@lsu.edu> will graduate this May from LSU in Accounting. She will work this summer as an intern with Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina. (4/19/99)


Class of 1996

Terri Wilson <Twilso96@aol.com> attended LSU for three years where she majored in a variety of fields. She is currently attending LSUMC in New Orleans where she is majoring in Medical Technology, aka Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She plans on graduating in August of 2000 after a 6 month clinical internship. After being in school constantly she is planning on taking a nice long trip to anywhere after graduation. (5/21/99)

Emily Hindrichs <emilymhindrichs@hotmail.com> is sick of the wonder that is The University of Southern Mississippi. She is going to British Columbia for a year to study music education and vocal performance. (5/26/99)


Class of 1998

Too impatient to wait until her junior year to go abroad, Katherine "Kah-treen" Dunn is spending this semester studying abroad in France. She is attending the Universite Charles de Gaulle in the city of Lille on an exchange program through Emory University. Kah-treen has invested in $130 worth of dictionaries and is adding to her lingual confusion by learning Italian while in France. (2/20/99)
