Hello Fellow Alumni! It is only a month and a half until our 10 year reunion! We have got some exciting things planned for this event! I don't know about you but I am giddy with anticipation! In this newsletter we are going to cover reunion updates, some requests for responses from you, a few reminders and some miscellaneous announcements. So let get started! Reunion Updates Here is the following agenda as planned so far: Friday May 19th 6:00PM-9:30PM Registration and Refreshments Place: Hampton Inn Hospitality Room There are two informal events going on that night. 1) Camping Trip Relive the Amnesty Retreat Weekends or those Forbidden Camping trips............but without risk of violations or Mr. Powell! If you are interested in spending the night under the stars in Kisatchie then contact Ryan Farr < rfarr@rmgmpls.com > 2) Press Box If campning isn't your style, come to the new grown up 9:00pm-til ? version of "Social Hour". Forget the front of Caddo, we're meeting at the Press Box. Let's see how many of us have moved beyond Mad Dog and Miller Light. Saturday May 20th 10:00AM-2:00PM Barbeque Place: LSMSA High School Building Courtyard Remember the picnic our first day at LSMSA? We'll be in the same courtyard and tables. However, in remembrance of Valley Food Service.......we sprung for a caterer! We will have ribs, chicken, lots of veggies and all the fixings! Feel free to bring hackey sacks, frisbees and tough shoes..........just in case you long time hack meisters and meistresses want to relive some of your youth. 8:00PM-midnight Music, Drinks and Friends! Place: Chateau du Lac We will be doing what we did every Saturday night at school.......dance party! It will be time to get down at Natchitoches newest resort right on Sabine Lake. There will be lots of music, light snacks and cocktails................and no curfew! Well at least for those of us with no kids. Sunday May 21st 11:00AM-1:00PM Brunch Place: The Landing In honor of those mornings after......let's meet at The Landing for a champagne brunch and to say farewells. Remember this is the place only your parents could Afford to take you. We have a room reserved and hopefully will have a slide show. Information Request Now that we have enticed you with what we have in store for this fun-filled weekend, let's get some feedback from you. Please answer the following questions and send your response to Tara Mock < tmock@mec.cuny.edu >. 1) Are you planning to attend? ___ Yes ___ NO ___ Undecided If not, are you interested in receiving the souvenir package, which includes: an LSMSA Class of 1990 T-Shirt, an LSMSA Class of 1990 mug, a picture frame to display your reunion memories, an I Remember 1990 CD ( soon to be a collectors item!!!!!!!!!!! Don't be the only one who doesn't have one! ) and the 10th year reunion memory book? ___ Yes ___ NO ___ doesn't apply If you are attending, are you bringing a guest? ___ Yes ___ NO 2) What events are you going to be able to attend? ___ Friday evening ___ Saturday Day ___ Saturday Evening ___ Sunday Brunch This information will allow us to better estimated how many people we will need to order food and beverages. Your response is greatly appreciated. Now that we have gotten that taken out of the way, let's move on to the reminders. Reminders 1) All of you that have already sent in your fees.................thank you. For those that have not, there is still the deadline for final payments of April 19th. The fees are as follows. $75 Class of 1990 alumni attending $35 Class of 1990 alumni non-attending $45 Non-Class of 1990 attending ( will not include souvenirs ) Payments may be sent to: LSMSA Class of 1990 Reunion c/o Tara Mock (optional) 472 Atlantic Avenue P.O.Box 115 Brooklyn, NY 11217 All checks and money orders are to be made out to LSMSA Class of 1990 Reunion. They are not to be made out to any private individual. We are still taking donations for purchasing the seat in the LSMSA Auditorium in memory of Michael Chapman. If you wish to add a donation to your reunion fee then please specify the amount. 2) Hotel Reservations The deadline for making your hotel reservations is April 19th. ** Be sure to contact the hotel directly in order to receive the reunion rate. If you havent's seen it already............then what are you waiting for? The website is full of pics of fellow alumni, up to date alumni information and a guest book where you can see what other have been up to lately. Dale Theriot has done a great job with this, so go ahead and try it out. We do ask that if you are planning to attend the reunion then please add yourself to the website directory.
